Music festival
The 2011 Beijing Great Wall of Sound Forest Festival begins early next month.
The symphony orchestra of Beijing Opera and Dance Theater will stage a concert of classical music.
Participants are domestic and overseas musicians, including Ding Yi, Wei Song and Peter Buffett.

Special voyages
The Louis Vuitton - Voyages exhibition retraces the crowning moments in the history of the French brand, which since 1854 - the year when it was established - has beautifully paired form with function.
The exhibition starts from Chinese contemporary artist Zhan Wang's video work Big Bang.
The work leads visitors into a voyage of Louis Vuitton. Visitors can find suitcases for various kinds of use. Each piece bears witness to the designers' dream, vision and inventiveness.

Shanghai
Performance art
Taking the Stage Over is a series of performance projects by curator Biljana Ciric which will go on for a whole year. The upcoming event, entitled Diagram for Speed, will feature Beijing-based artist Hu Xiangqian, who will try to catch the speed of electricity through a performance design.
"You turn on the power and the lamp lights up. Such is the speed of electricity, which fascinates me," says the artist.

Flamenco musical
The musical Zorro was created by the Gipsy Kings and John Cameron in 2008. The production has been shown at West End London and toured widely internationally.
The original production will tour China in October, first in Shanghai, then to Beijing and other major cities. The Flamenco-based score and choreography of Zorro will light up the stage with youth and strength.

Pixar animation
The Pixar: 25 Years of Animation exhibition will be brought to China for the first time for display at the Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art.
More than 400 exhibits selected from the archives of Pixar Animation Studios will be on display during the exhibition.

Fanboys and dedicated gamers won't want to miss this year's instalment of the 13th Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong. Last year saw 680,000 kids of all ages browsing an overwhelming plethora of animation, comics, toys and limited edition collectibles such as autographs by comic book masters.
This is the chance for certified geeks to stock up on hot Wii and Xbox games while catching some live performances by international celebrities.

While naysayers may claim that Robert Pattinson's acting is a little wooden, swooning swans by the name of Bella or any other will insist that he has many other talents. The star of the Twilight saga now has a lifesize wax replica for you to ogle before the release of Breaking Dawn later this year. Check him out in the "Marry Me" interactive area of Madame Tussauds' Hong Kong Glamour Zone, along with Asian hotties Jay Chou and Aaron Kwok.

Hong Kong singer, actor and personality extraordinaire Wakin Chau pays tribute to the ladies in his 2011 Diva Live concert. Boasting more than 40 albums and with 20 films under his belt, Chau is a beloved Cantopop star with 25 years of success in the entertainment industry. In his upcoming concert, he reinterprets songs originally written for the fairer sex. He'll be belting out classic hits such as The Wandering Songstress.
