Miller's baby daughter out of hospital

Miami forward Mike Miller had something to celebrate even before the NBA finals began as he and his wife brought their infant daughter home from the hospital about two weeks after her birth.

Baby Jaelyn Miller had required treatment in a pediatric intensive care unit after being born with four holes in her heart, a condition called ventricular septal defect, Miller said on Sunday, a day after the child was released.

He said doctors had told him and his wife, Jennifer, that at least one of the holes has closed.

"Obviously, that's my main concern right now," said Miller. "She's doing a lot better, which is big."

Miller said Jaelyn has a series of doctor appointments scheduled, including one on Tuesday, just hours before he and the rest of the Heat host the Dallas Mavericks in Game One of the NBA finals.
