Li Na through 2nd round at French Open

PARIS - The world No 7 Li Na of China held off strong challenges from Spanish qualifier Silvia Soler-Espinosa to win the women's singles second round match 6-4 and 7-5 at the French Open on Thursday.

The sixth seed Li was broken first in both sets, but managed to come from behind to reach the last 32 in her fifth appearance at Roland Garros.

The 27-year-old Asian top player advanced into the final at this year's Australian Open.
