LONDON - British trains will run faster and more frequently during next year's London Olympics.

Hugh Sumner, director of transport for the Olympic Delivery Authority, said Wednesday there will be 2,000 extra train services during the Olympics in July and August 2012, and an extra 1,500 services during the Paralympics in late August and early September.
Rail companies also say they will suspend engineering works during the games to avoid delays.
