BEIJING - If the record number of overseas exhibitors at this year's China Horse Fair is any indication, then the level of interest in China's emerging professional equine industry is growing strongly.
Now in its fourth edition, the China International Equestrian & Horse Industry Exhibition, or as it is more commonly referred to, the China Horse Fair (CHF), has consistently grown and developed alongside the industry it represents and has established itself as the country's most important gathering for trade professionals involved in all forms of horse sports and leisure activities.
The CHF, which opened on Tuesday and ends on Thursday at the Beijing International Exhibition Center, provides access to some of the world's top horse breeders and trainers, leading facility equipment manufacturers, nutrition and health care suppliers, horse transportation and ancillary service providers.
Attracted by China's strong market growth and its future commitment to developing a world-class equine industry, exhibitors from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the US are displaying their latest products and services.
Evidence of China's emergence as an important potential export market is clearly seen by the presence of a large group pavilion from the Netherlands coordinated by the Royal Warmblood Studbook of the Netherlands, the Dutch breeding organization dedicated to dressage and jumper horses. However, competition is keen as also present is a French group organized through Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle Du Cheval, the country's national association for the promotion of its horse industry.
High-quality horses are fundamental for the development of training, competition, and breeding programs in China and international breeders are particularly well represented at the CHF 2010. Experts on a range of breeds are on hand to advise on characteristics, training, exercise, nutrition and health care requirements.
A visit to CHF 2010 will offer owners and operators of breeding establishments, rider and horse training schools, stables, equestrian centers and horse-racing facilities an opportunity to view and compare products and services essential for delivering world-class results.
