BEIJING - Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic head a star-studded cast, which includes five other top-10 players, at the China Open.
After surprisingly falling in the third round at the US Open, Murray, 23 and ranked No 4 in the world, seems refreshed and ready to fight for the men's crown in Beijing.
Failing to earn more points at the US Open and close in on world No 3, Roger Federer, Murray can't wait to win the 500 points up for grabs by claiming the men's title and consolidate his place among the big four at year's end.
Murray's greatest hurdle at the Open is likely to be Serbian world No 2 Djokovic, who is keen to defend his title at one of his favorite events.
"Whether you believe it or not, I have to say that top-level service is provided here in Beijing. All the details, including food, hotel, transportation and the locker room are perfect. It is definitely one of the best events on the (ATP) tour," said Djokovic.
Apart from the action on the courts, a rich mixture of fan activities such as a college students' concert, a children's carnival and fashion show make the tournament an event not to miss.
