International horse racing to be held in NW China

YINCHUAN - An international horse racing event is going to be held in Yinchuan, capital of Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region on August 28.

Till now, the two-day event has attracted over 80 Chinese racers and 21 foreign racers from France, Malaysia, Bahrain, Belgium and Chile.

According to the organizers, 130 horses will be selected for the event, among which 80 for endurance races and 50 others for speed races.

The international races will be held along the Great Wall and Beacon Towers in Yinchuan, where the vast and flat grassland and desert offer a perfect venue for horse racing.
