Hungary F1 race looks like a Red Bull feast

CANBERRA - Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel and his Australian teammate Mark Webber have dominated qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, Australia's media reported on Sunday.

With superior pace throughout Saturday's qualifying session, Vettel found the best time of the final session - one minute 18.773 seconds - to best Webber, 0.411 seconds back, and secure pole position for Sunday's race at the tight and testing Hungaroring circuit.

"I said on the radio to the boys 'this is your moment'," Vettel told ABC News. "Mark and myself were pushing hard to finish first and second but I said 'it is your moment, enjoy, you built this wonderful car'.

"It was a pleasure to drive yesterday and even more so today."

The ABC reported that Hungary has typically proven a tough track to overtake on unless drivers make mistakes and Webber looked demoralized by Vettel's dominance.

"There wasn't maybe a chance for the other guys to have a crack at us today, so we knew that it was going to be pretty tight between us like it was in Barcelona," Webber told ABC News.

"Whoever did the quickest lap out of us two was probably going to get pole."

The gap between Vettel and Webber was a cavernous 0.419 seconds and the Australian could only congratulate his team-mate, who bizarrely described the tricky circuit as "like a woman alongside you that doesn't behave well".

"We weren't quick enough today," Webber said of his effort. "We could have done better of course so we deserve to be second.

"It's going to be an interesting start and then after that we know with these regulations the race can be interesting in terms of trying to stay awake."

Webber and Vettel are currently level on points after 11 of the 19 races but Vettel looks a good bet to leapfrog into at least third place overall and probably second.
