Bucks guard shines in charity game

Milwaukee Bucks rising star Brandon Jennings scored 23 points to give the visiting NBA team a 101-95 victory over the Chinese men's national team in the Yao Foundation Charity game on Saturday.

Toronto Raptors' Amir Johnson added 21 for the NBA team which also featured All-Star guard Steve Nash from the Suns, Clippers' talisman Baron Davis, as well as Chase Budinger and Aaron Brooks from the Houston Rockets.

Shooting guard Yu Shulong notched a team-high 15 for China and forward Yi Li added 14.

Yao, who launched the Charity tour, sat out Saturday's game as the giant center is still recovering from foot surgery. The Chinese national squad was also without Yi Jianlian of the Washington Wizards and shooting guard Liu Wei.

The exhibition game was part of the Yao Foundation Charity Tour, which aims to raise funds to help improve the education of poor children in Western China.

The tour also included a fund-raising banquet on Friday, which brought in about 9.94 million yuan ($1.47 million). Another exhibition game will be held in Taipei on Wednesday.
