Chinese breaks AIG record at men's 60m hurdles

Updated: 2009-11-02 14:41 HANOI - Chinese Ji Wei came first in 7.69 seconds in the men's 60-meter hurdles at the 3rd Asian Indoor Games (AIG) here on Sunday, breaking the AIG record. "Ji Wei demonstrated a good performance in the competition," said his coach Cai Min. Chinese athletes won two gold medals, one silver and one bronze in total at AIG on Sunday. In the women's 400-meter run, Chinese Chen Jingwen grabbed a gold medal in 53.58 seconds. In the men's long jump, Zhuang Haitao came second with 7.91 meters to get a silver medal. Chinese Zhao Kuansong won a bronze in the men's high jump with 2.20 meters. |
