Shandong player claims 1st Wushu gold at National Games

Updated: 2009-10-13 16:27 The Wushu events of the 11th National Games kicked off at Shandong Binzhou Olympic Gymnasium on October 12. In the Women’s Changquan (long punch), Cao Jing from Shandong province claimed the title with a score of 9.83 (full score is 10), followed by Liu Xiaolei from Beijing in second place with 9.81. It was the first gold medal handed out at the Wushu events. The 27-year-old Cao took the Triple Crown of the event in 2003, 2005 and the 2007 World Wushu Championship. The bronze medal went to Ma Lan from Henan province with a score of 9.80. |
