PORTLAND – The Portland Trail Blazers kept alive their playoff hopes with an 88-77 victory over the Houston Rockets in Game Five of their Western Conference series on Tuesday.

Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge both scored 25 points to pull the Trail Blazers within one game of the Rockets, who lead the series 3-2.

Luis Scola led the Rockets with 21 points, while Yao Ming added 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Houston held a four-point lead with 9:34 to play but the Trail Blazers went on a 15-0 run to overturn the deficit and seal the victory.

Game Six is in Houston on Thursday.
