Bad weather forces reschedule of snow events

YABULI -- Overnight heavy snow and strong wind forced the cancellation of nordic combined and cross-coutry scheduled to take place here on Sunday at the Harbin Universiade.

Other disciplines set for the day, Super G in Alpine skiing and women individual aerial in freestyle skiing, have been postponed for course cleaning and wind weakening.

The organizers in Yabuli ski resort have to adjust race schedule in a high frequency for unfavorable weather conditions.

The ski jump set for Friday had to be postponed to Saturday for harsh weather. Downhill skiing instead had been advanced to compete on Friday upon the original Saturday.
