Czech Republic advances to Fed Cup semifinals

PRAGUE -- Czech Republic advanced to the semifinals of the Fed Cup women's tennis team tournament after Petra Kvitova beat Nuria Llagostera of Spain 6-4, 7-5 in the fourth singles match of the World Group I first round on Sunday.

Czech Republic won the best-of-five match by a 4-1 scoreline.
