SEOUL - South Korea named Manchester United's Park Ji-sung on Monday and a goalkeeper once banned from its national team due to an embarrassing drinking binge to its squad for a World Cup qualifier this month against Saudi Arabia.

South Korea, looking for their seventh straight trip to the World Cup finals, sit atop Asian Group Two with four points from two matches and lead Saudi Arabia, also with four points, on goal differential. The two play on November 19 in Riyadh.

Park was instrumental in South Korea's 4-1 thrashing of the United Arab Emirates in their previous match in mid-October and will be joined by AS Monaco's striker Park Chu-young and defender Lee Young-pyo, who moved from Tottenham Hotspur to Germany's Borussia Dortmund earlier this year.

The biggest surprise for South Korea was the return of Lee Won-jae, their keeper nicknamed "Spiderman" for his acrobatic skills and sticky hands. Lee has been captain of the squad and an anchor of the team through its recent World Cup campaigns.

Lee, 35, was axed from the national team after he and three other players went out to hostess bars in Jakarta in July 2007 after a shock loss to Bahrain during the Asian Cup in Jakarta.

"I know that he has reflected on the incident a lot on his own and he is looking very good in the Korean league," head coach Huh Jung-moo said in the release.
