Henan players finish first in Hohot truck racing

Henan truck drivers stole the spotlight at the Hohhot equestrian racetracks as the Hohhot stop of the tournament finished on September 20.

After two hours’ of furious competition on Saturday, Henan veteran drivers Hou Hongning finished first at 2:14:66 in Group A and defending champion Han Xianwei wasfirst at 2:19:62 in Group B individual events.

Truck driver Meng Qingbo of Henan province, who came in third place in the Group A individual event, leads the Lovol team beating Foton team at 7:28:31 to win the Hohhot stop group championship title.

The winners of the individual and group events were awarded trophies and prizes on the podium from China Truck Racing committee. Liu Xiaoyong, secretary of China Truck Racing committee, told a reporter, “The tournament in Hohhot is wonderful. Hohhot is a place that has both picture-perfect scenery and also hospitable residents. We expected China Truck Racing will come back next time.”
