Lovol opens new season with big wins
Updated: 2008-05-28 11:07 Lovol became the biggest winner in the first station of the China Truck Racing 2008, capturing victories in both team and individual competitions as the tournaments concluded on May 18 in Xiamen, East China’s Fujian Province.
To add to their triumph, the Tianjin-based diesel engine producer wrapped up all seats in the finals.
Earlier, three Lovol-engined Auman trucks had successfully assisted the China Central Television (CCTV) to send out the signals of a live broadcast on Olympic flame’s ascent to the Mount Qomolangma, also known as the Mount Everest.
Having to endure a height mostly over 5,000 meters above the sea level and a temperature below the icy point, the Lovol engine was proven reliable despite many unfavorable conditions such insufficient air pressure, strong gales and low oxygen level.
With seventy percent of all products going into international market, Lovol Engine now possesses in Tian an 880,000-square meter factory, where seven production lines imported from Britain, Germany, United States and France will generate a yearly output of 60,000 diesel engines.
In 2007, Lovol scored a seventy percent sales growth and began the construction of their new plant, an investment costing RMB2.6 billion yuan. |
