Slovenia rattle Angola to claim Stankovic Cup

MACAO- Solovenia beat Angola 78-51 to grasp the championship at the Stankovic Continental Cup here on Thursday.

The two title runners, which have both won three of the previous four games, displayed pace and determination in all the four quarters.

The Solovenia team dominated the court with more harsh attacks and spared no chance for the Africans during all periods.

China ravaged the United States NBA Development League Ambassadors 82-67 earlier the day to secure the second place at the six-team tournament.

The U.S. D-League team and Angola, both won three of five games, ranked the third and the fourth place respectively by accounting the score statistics.

New Zealand edged Venezuela 76-73 on the final match day to clinch the fifth place while Venezuela lost all five games to stay on the bottom.
