Zimbabwe to take part in Special Olympics

A Zimbabwean team will take part in Special Olympics to take place in China next September, the official New Ziana reported on Sunday.

National director Bonnie Woodman said the team was preparing for games. "We are waiting for the Reserve Bank to allocate us foreign currency," he said. "We needs 35,000 U.S. dollars for the trip."

The team would be competing among more 7,500 athletes from 150 countries and regions. They would compete in golf, swimming, bocce and athletics.
