UEFA probe racism allegations during Intertoto Cup tie(Reuters)Updated: 2007-06-29 09:07 The European governing body said in a statement on Thursday it was examining reports that Slovan fans began racist chanting at one of the Differdange players during the first leg of the tie in Luxembourg last Saturday. The Slovakian club won 2-0. The return match will be played in Bratislava on Saturday with UEFA due to hear the case at a disciplinary hearing on July 12. Uefa announced last Friday it was cracking down on racist and violent behaviour at matches following a recent upsurge. Referees have been instructed to stop all matches in which soccer fans shout racist abuse at players.
