The head coach of Thailand's Bangkok University soccer team said his team would play an offensive game against host Arema Malang of Indonesia during their Asian Champions League match later on Wednesday.

"Arema played defensively in their away match in Bangkok. They could have played offensive and I believe they could have scored last week," Somchai Subpherm was quoted by English-language daily The Jakarta Post as saying.

Subpherm said he would have his defenders closely mark Arema playmaker Ponaryo Astaman and midfielder Arif Sunaryo.

Bangkok has collected three points from three matches in the Champions League, including a scoreless draw against Arema in Bangkok, and is looking to earn all three points Wednesday.

Arema is at the bottom of Group F with just one point, behind Kawasaki Frontale of Japan, Chunham Dragons of South Korea and Bangkok University.

Bangkok features several members of Thailand's national team, including Kittisak Siriwaen, Suriya Domtaisong, Jeera Jarerbsuk, Kraisorn Pancharoen, Punnarat Klinsukon and Weera Koedpudsa.

However, goalkeeper Koedpudsa will miss Wednesday's match due to an injury.
