Shandong have acquired nine points after beating Australia's Adelaide United 1-0, South Korea's Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma 2-1 and Long An 4-0 consecutively to remain the first place of the group.

Striker Han Peng made a brace at each half before midfielder Wang Yongpo added the third on 55 minutes. Chinese international Li Jinyu rounded off the night with a fine header later in the second half.

The hosts dominated the game with obvious advantage. Han Peng slided in a well-taken low center from Cui Peng three minutes from the interval, and headed home unerringly after Li Jinyu's flicker in the 52nd minute.

Long An pushed forward with two goals down and fough hard to press the hosts, but gave up their efforts after the last two goals.

Shandong could have scored more goals, but squandered several clear chances.
