The six top partners, which are called Diamond Partners, are Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, Canon Hong Kong Co.Ltd, Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, 3D-GOLD, Henderson Land Group and Mission Hill Golf Club.

According to the 2009 EAG organizers, the Diamond Partners each contribute five million HK dollars in financial support and other marketing activities that will further ensure the success of the Games.

Timothy Fok, chairman of the 5th East Asian Games Planning Committee, said, "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the six corporations for taking the lead in supporting us. With their generous support, the 2009 EAG marketing campaign has got off to a fine start."

"Participation and support from our community are vital to the success of the Games, I earnestly look forward to the involvement of more corporations so that we create a legend that all Hong Kong people will be proud of." said Fok.

Business corporations have the choice to sign on either as Diamond Partners, Gold Sponsors, Silver Sponsors or Official Suppliers for the 2009 EAG.
