NEW YORK - Two-times Olympic silver medallist Willye White, the only American to compete on five Olympic athletics teams, has died at age 67, the U.S. Olympic Committee said on Tuesday.

White won a silver medal in the women's long jump at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics at age 16. Eight years later she won a second silver medal as a member of the U.S. 4x100 metres relay team at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.

She also represented the U.S. in the 1960, 1968 and 1972 Games.

She won 12 national long jump titles and broke the American record seven times.
