Italy won the men's team pursuits of speed skating and the Netherlands won the women's at the Winter Universiade, both setting competition records on Tuesday.

The host timed three minutes and 47.25 seconds ahead of Russia on second in 3:48.62. Poland took the third place in 3:50.54.

The Dutch women completed the three-person run in 3:06.55 while Russia and Japan finished second and third respectively.
