DETROIT - The Utah Jazz snapped their longest losing streak of the season and spoiled Chris Webber's Detroit debut with a 100-99 victory over the Pistons on Wednesday.

Deron Williams hit a three-pointer with 44 seconds left for the winning points to cap a career-best night for the Jazz, who improved to 25-14 after snapping a four-game losing run.

The Pistons had a final chance to win the game following a timeout with 5.1 seconds left, but Chauncey Billups, who returned to the Detroit line-up after sitting out eight games with a calf injury, missed a three-pointer at the buzzer.

The Jazz are 4-0 against the Pistons over the past two seasons, as Detroit (21-16) lost for the fifth time in six games.

Waived by the Philadelphia 76ers last week, Webber joined up with his new team mates just in time for morning practice and made his debut on the floor with 10:07 left in the first half to a standing ovation.

Playing his first game since December 27, Detroit-born Webber managed just two points, five rebounds and three assists in his 17 minutes.

"I'm sure people expected more, but you can't judge this on one night," Webber told reporters after the game.

Williams led Utah with 31 points and 10 assists. Mehmet Okur added 22 points and Carlos Boozer chipped in with 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

Billups led Detroit with 26 points, while Tayshaun Prince added 17.
