Garnett tops 10,000 rebounds in Timberwolves's win

NEW YORK - Kevin Garnett scored 32 points and pulled down his 10,000th career rebound as the Minnesota Timberwolves bolted past the New Jersey Nets for a 109-98 home win on Saturday.

Garnett grabbed 14 rebounds to become the 32nd player in NBA history to top the 10,000 mark. He now has 10,007.

Minnesota used a late 12-1 run to clinch the victory after trailing by five at the start of the fourth quarter, with Garnett sparking the surge as he added 12 points in the final frame.

Jason Kidd led the Nets with 24 points, 13 assists and six rebounds.
