Williams, Howard named NBA Players of the Week

NEW YORK - The Milwaukee Bucks' Mo Williams and the Dallas Mavericks' Josh
Howard today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week,
respectively, for games played Monday, Dec. 18 through Sunday, Dec. 24.

Williams averaged 25.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game in
leading the Bucks to a 3-0 week. He tallied a career-high 11 rebounds in
securing his first career triple-double in a 121-95 win over Miami on Dec. 20.
Howard registered averages of 22.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0
blocks in helping Dallas, winners of six in a row, to a 3-0 week. He had 25
points in just 30 minutes in a 115-83 win over the Clippers on Dec. 22 and
single-handedly outscored Los Angeles 17-14 in the third quarter of that
contest.
