Tomas Demek has become a new coach of the Czech men's table tennis national team to replace Pavel Spacek, who will coach the junior team from January, head of the Czech Table Tennis Association, Pavel Primus said on Tuesday. Spacek began to coach the table tennis national team in 2004. Under his leadership, the team won bronze in the European championships in 2005. "We need medals in European league of juniors, in which we were not successful last year. So we send the best coach(Spacek) to train the junior team." Primus explained. Demek will lead the men's team for the first time in the European League in Russia next January. Czech table tennis players have already advanced among the best 12 teams in the European championships to be held next year.
