The final part of the closing ceremony for the Doha Asian Games will show the world a new China, organizers of the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games said.

"We are going to show the time-honored Chinese culture, the dynamic spirit and images of Guangzhou and express the earnest hospitality of the Chinese people," Li Zhefu, co-producer of the performance said on Monday.

The 10-minute sequence, called "Oriental Charm", will showcase the Chinese culture and is designed to incorporate some typical elements of the nation's culture, including opera, painting and wushu, he said.

"These elements will be correlated with the modern artistic expressions with the help of the latest technologies, demonstrating a combination of traditional Chinese culture and modern spirit," said Li.

Xing Shimiao, the performance's director, said it would be divided into three parts to best use the facilities available during the closing ceremony.

"For the performance, we've only got 10 minutes and we can't waste even a single minute. This is a golden opportunity for us to show our culture to the world," he added.
