MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Simmons is expected to miss the rest of the regular season because his ailing right ankle and foot will require two surgeries.

Simmons is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove bone spurs in his right ankle on Dec. 18, general manager Larry Harris said Thursday.

Simmons' second surgery has yet to be scheduled, but will be performed on Simmons' right foot to correct a cyst in his heel bone and help ease his plantar fasciitis, an inflammation of the tissue that connects the heel to base of the toes.

An expected starter, Simmons hadn't played this season because of foot problems. He's averaged 10.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 272 career games.
