Gilbert Arenas scored 38 points to lead the Washington Wizards to their first road win of the season, a 113-102 victory over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday.

The Wizards made an NBA season-high 14 of 20 three-point attempts to condemn the Knicks to another home defeat, with New York slipping to 2-8 in front of their fans.

One of those two victories came against the Wizards, who lost by 20 points on November 15 after tying an NBA record for futility by missing all 15 three-point attempts in the game.

It was a complete turnaround on Wednesday, however, with Washington tying a franchise record for most successful three-pointers in one game.

Arenas led the way on all counts, making six three-pointers while shooting 13-for-24 overall. Antawn Jamison also made six three-pointers and had 33 points.

DeShawn Stevenson added 15 points for the Wizards, who shot 49 percent from the field and took a commanding 66-45 lead at halftime.

Washington, who shot 81 percent from the foul line, improved to 8-10 overall.

Eddy Curry paced the Knicks with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Quentin Richardson and Stephon Marbury both added 16 points for New York.

*LeBron James scored 26 points and dominated late in the game, helping to rally the Cleveland cavaliers past the Toronto Raptors 95-91 in Cleveland.

*Tim Duncan drained 25 points as the San Antonio Spurs got some revenge for an upset loss at home to Charlotte by crushing the Bobcats 96-76 on the road. Sean May had 18 points for Charlotte, which has failed to win back to back games at any time this season.

*Rudy Gay's jumper with 2.6 seconds left in regulation lifted the Memphis Grizzlies past the Boston Celtics 98-96. Boston has lost four straight.

*Kevin Garnett had 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 90-84 win over Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets.
