Kazakhstan four riders cooperated well to win the men's team time trial of the 15th Asian Games at Al- Khor of Doha here on Wednesday.

Leading by Mizurov Andrew, who won a bronze medal in the men's individual time trial on Tuesday, the Kazakhstan riders demonstrated their teamwork and tactical formation along the flat 70.3km course.

"Our expectations were only to win. Especially because of Yesterday, we need to re-establish ourselves," said Mizurov.

Taking leading position by turns, they clocked one hour 24 minutes and 40.67 seconds to take the gold. Iran took the silver in 1:25:56.60, while Japan finished third in 1:26:01.49.

"Our specialty is team time trial. In principle this is what we prepared for," added Mizurov.

It was the first time in 12 years for the men's team time trial to be put back into the Asian Games agenda. Kazakhstan won the event in the 1994 Hiroshima Asian Games.
