Injured shuttler Roslin to miss Doha's Asiad

Malaysian shuttler Roslin Hashim was confirmed here on Wednesday to miss the upcoming Asia Games slated here for December 1-15 due to an elbow injury.

Roslin is nursing an elbow injury sustained at the Holland Open two weeks ago and he will be replaced by Wong Choon Han for the men's singles event, Abdullah Sani Karim, chef de mission of the Malaysian delegation told Xinhua by telephone.

Malaysia king Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, who was scheduled to compete in the equestrian event of the Doha Asiad, also quit the Games due to a royal ceremony at home.

Sultan Mizan will be coronated as the 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong on December 13.
