"The Busan failure still hurts, but
we should look forward," said Shi, referring to the disappointing results of
Chinese women players who lost the team and doubles gold medals four years ago
in South Korea.
"Our top priority has been to build a better team for the Asian Games," added
Shi, a former men's team coach who had just concluded his first year as the
women's head coach.
Shi deemed the table tennis competition at Asian Games as even more heated
than international events since most of the world top paddlers are from Asia.
But he showed confidence and determination whatsoever.
"The Chinese women's team is teemed with top players and we are determined to
bag more gold medals than what we did four years ago. "
