PARIS, Nov 12 - Olympique Lyon central defender Sebastien Squillaci has been called up for France's international friendly against European champions Greece in Paris next Wednesday.

Squillaci, who has nine caps, has been drafted in by coach Raymond Domenech in case of any future withdrawals, a team spokesman said on Sunday.

Domenech is already without Olympique Lyon strikers Karim Benzema and Sidney Govou who were injured during the 2-1 Ligue 1 victory over Valenciennes on Friday.

River Plate teenager Gonzalo Higuain, the French-born son of Argentines, turned down his first call-up for the national team, saying did not want to play for France at the moment.

The team doctor will review the shape of France's players when they gather at Gouvieux, a northern suburb of Paris, on Monday, the spokesman said.

France take on Greece at the Stade de France on Wednesday in their last outing of 2006.
