Lee Chong Wei resumes training(Xinhua)Updated: 2006-11-10 14:07 Malaysian top seeded shuttler Lee Chong Wei who received six stitches on his head is already undergoing light training, local media reported Thursday. Lee, also the world's number two badminton player, began his light workout Wednesday, four days after he was slightly injured in an accident, said national chief coach Yap Kim Hock. "He will be fully recovered from his injuries in a few days' time. He began light workout yesterday to maintain his fitness," Yap told reporters Thursday. The 24-year-old player was admitted to Sunway Medical Center last Friday after his car was knocked from behind by another car in a highway. The accident did not have any side effects for Lee and he was in high spirit while undergoing the light training, said Yap. The National Sport Council targets the player to bag a silver medal at the upcoming Doha Asian Games but Lee eyes the gold himself.
