Brazil national team overcame their last group opponents United States 10-6 to finish in the first place of Group A at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2006 on Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro.

Brazil set up for the victory in the first period by leading 6-3.Brazilian forwards Bruno and Benjamin were the top scorers of the match, with three goals each.

"We did not expect to score that many goals in the first period. That does not normally happen," said Benjamin.

The U.S. team ranked fourth in Group A, where the top two will make the quarter-finals on Thursday. The other quarterfinalist from Group A is Japan.

In quarter-finals, Japan will meet France and Canada face Brazil.
