DHAKA, Nov 6 - Sri Lanka batsman Sanath Jayasuriya arrived in Bangladesh on Monday to play against his international team mate Kumar Sangakkara in a domestic competition.

Jayasuriya will play for Acme Laboratories while wicketkeeper Sangakkara turns out for Beximco Group in the final of the Corporate Cricket League in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Sangakkara earned the man of the match award after hitting 69 in the semi-final against Partex Group on Sunday to steer Beximco to a 61-run victory.

Jayasuriya will join an impressive Acme line-up that includes Bangladesh captain Habibul Bashar, batsman Aftab Ahmed and veteran all-rounder Mohammad Rafique.

Young talents Mohammad Ashraful and Mashrafe Mortaza will play for Beximco.

The 37-year-old Jayasuriya had a brief stint in Bangladesh domestic cricket when he appeared for Mohammedan immediately after winning the World Cup in 1996.
