Chinese trio reach semis at men's table Cup

PARIS - The top three Chinese table tennis stars have reached the semi-finals of the Men's World Cup in Paris, France on Saturday.

Wang Hao, twice winner of the men's World Cup, overcame Austrian Werner Schlager 11-4, 11-8, 7-11, 11-5, 11-5 to book his place in the penultimate round.

Wang Hao will play Vladimir Samsonov of Belarus to vie for a place in the final.

Wang Liqin defeated Chuan Chih-Yuan of Chinese Taipei in straight games 11-6, 11-9, 15-13, 11-8.

The world top-ranked player set up a semi-final clash with teammate Ma Lin, who outlasted Greek Kalinikos Kreanga 11-9, 11-6, 11-7, 9-11, 11-6.
