In Chicago, Vladimir Guerrero, Jose Molina and Robb Quinlan each belted solo home runs as the Los Angeles Angels eased past the White Sox 6-3.

Chone Figgins contributed a pair of RBI to the Los Angeles cause as the Angels extended their win streak to three games.

Kelvim Escobar (8-9) allowed two runs on six hits while striking out seven with a walk in six polished innings to take credit for the win.

Francisco Rodriguez tossed a perfect ninth to earn his 27th save of the season.

It was another tough outing for Chicago starter Mark Buehrle (9-10), who absorbed his sixth straight defeat after yielding six runs -- including all three homers -- on seven hits in 6 2/3 innings of work.

Jim Thome belted his 34th homer for the World Series champions.
