Kaka was replaced by Ricardinho in the 83rd minute. Parreira said his
decision to substitute players was to win matches.
"We create opportunities. As the World Cup develops, it channels into a
different stage and it's important players who replace others play well,"
Parreira said. "Because we don't play with 11. We finished with 14."
Kaka, who played as a substitute at the last World Cup four years ago, was
pleased with the team's victory over the African team.
"Today the result was very good. I think we played well," Kaka said. "We're
getting better. This was another game and now we have to look forward to the
quarterfinals."
