Angolan still have chance to advance (Xinhua) Updated: 2006-06-21 11:37
The Angolan soccer team still have a chance to qualify for the knockout stage
of the Germany 2006 World Cup, but will have to defeat Iran on Wednesday by more
than two goals and wait for Portugal's victory over Mexico.

Accoring to the Angola Press Angop, this scenario seems difficult for the
Palancas Negras, which have been unproductive in attack at the tournament.
Thus a different attitude is necessary for victory, and they have to be
bolder and more careful in the defense.
Critics believe that with faith and will to win, the World Cup debutants
might surprise the world and go through to the next stage.
Nevertheless, even if that does not happen, the Southern African nation has
already brought dignity to the continent, with their two brilliant exhibitions.
Angola, collecting one point with a 0-1-1 record, currently stand third with
one goal conceded. Mexico rank second on four points with three goals scored and
one lost.
