STUTTGART, Germany - After seven goals in two games and having earned a place in the second round of the World Cup, Spain is feeling fairly confident.

"Right now it's difficult to play better than Spain," Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas said after Monday's 3-1 victory over Tunisia at Gottlieb-Daimler stadium. "It is great to know that we have qualified for the second round. We don't fear anybody and we are confident we can win no matter who we face."

Fabregas entered the game in the second half, replacing Marcos Senna and helping rally Spain from an early first-half deficit.

After only three minutes, he fired off a shot from the edge of the box, forcing a save by Tunisia goalkeeper Ali Boumnijel.

Boumnijel also stopped a Fabregas rocket in the 71st, but gave up a rebound that allowed Raul Gonzalez to equalize for Spain. The 19-year-old then set up Fernando Torres with a long pass for Spain's second.

"We are very happy. Things turned out our way," Fabregas said. "It was difficult. They're a strong team, they play the ball well and are physically strong.

"The important thing was to keep the ball on the ground, create chances and wait for the goal to come."

The youngest member of Spain's squad, Fabregas made his debut for La Furia Roja (The Red Fury) in a friendly against Ivory Coast in March. He scored five goals for Arsenal last season, and Monday's performance may convince Spain coach Luis Aragones to make room for Fabregas in the starting lineup.

"I'm happy with what I've done, but it's not my decision. It's the coach's decision," Fabregas said, adding he liked Spain's chances in a possible matchup with France and his Arsenal teammate Thierry Henry in the second round.

"It would be very difficult, but not impossible," Fabregas said. "I think we have showed that we don't have to be scared of anyone."
