HANOVER, Germany - Angola will keep faith with their single striker strategy against Mexico, their coach said, resisting calls for a more adventurous approach.

Luis Oliveira Goncalves said there was "no reason to change" the formation which restricted Euro 2004 finalists Portugal to a one-goal victory on Angola's World Cup debut.

"We shall continue as we have been so far. There's no reason to change," Goncalves said.

"Tomorrow by the time of the match you will see our display."

Captain Akwa had called for an attack partner in Friday's clash believing it would give Angola a greater chance of qualifying from Group D.

Goncalves admitted Mexico, the world number four, were strong favourites for the match but he said Angola could cause them problems.

"Tomorrow we will display a team to win. The Mexicans are the favourite side on the pitch but we will try to make some surprises," he said.

Angola are bottom in Group D with Mexico top after their opening 3-1 win against Iran. The impoverished African country also play Iran on June 21.
