Getty Images was designated as the Official Photo Agency of BOCOG on June 16th, 2006.

In accordance with the Agreement signed between the IOC and Getty Images on May 28th, 2004, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) designated GETTY IMAGES as the Official Photo Agency of BOCOG (non-exclusive) on June 16th, 2006.

Building on its strength in sports photography and as one of the most esteemed providers of news, sport and entertainment photography worldwide, Getty Images has been credited as photographic partner to more than 50 international sports governing bodies.

Since 1988, Getty Images has been the Official Photo Agency of the IOC and offers one of the largest collections of Olympic imagery in the world.
