Germany may put two Polish-born strikers in the front against Poland in their Group A match of the World Cup on Wednesday.

Regarded as the best two Polish-born forwards in the tournament, Miroslav Klose and his attacking partner Lukas Podolski were both born in Poland and brought to Germany in childhood.

"We're glad they're on our side because they are exceptional players," said Germany coach Juergen Klinsmann at a pre-match news conference.

"It will be a special moment for the two since they do have Polish roots and even speak Polish together on the pitch," he added."Playing Poland might just be an additional motivation to score an additional goal."

In Germany's opening day match against Costa Rica, Klose scored twice in their 4-2 win.
