GOETTINGEN, Germany, June 12 - Mexican striker Jared Borgetti, who limped off injured in Sunday's 3-1 World Cup victory over Iran, could be out of action for seven to 10 days, the Mexican team doctor said on Monday.

Jose Luis Serrano told reporters Borgetti had suffered a left-leg hamstring injury.

"It seems like we have a serious injury," he said. "Tomorrow we are going to carry out an examination. Injuries like this could take seven to 10 days to heal."

Borgetti risks missing Mexico's two remaining Group D fixtures against Angola in Hanover on Friday and Portugal in Gelsenkirchen on Wednesday next week.
