Shevchenko scored a goal Thursday to help Ukraine beat Luxembourg 3-0 in its
final World Cup warmup match.
Shevchenko, who was returning to the national team after being sidelined with
a knee injury, came on as a substitute in the 60th minute and then scored in the
83rd with a low ball to the left corner.
Andriy Voronin scored the first goal for Ukraine in the 55th, and Maksim
Kalininchenko added the last one in the 84th.
Ukraine, which qualified for the World Cup for the first time, is in Group H
with Spain, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
