German daily newspaper Bild reported on Wednesday's edition that Brazilian players spent their first night in Germany at a night club in Frankfurt.

According to the daily, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Emerson, Robinho, Adriano, Cafu and Julio Cesar left the hotel in Konigstein, Germany, around 1:30 am on Monday, June 5, and headed to a night club in Frankfurt, where they stayed drinking champagne until 5:45 am.

The players had arrived in Germany in the evening of June 4 and had the following day off. In the story, the paper stated that Brazil has a peculiar way of preparing itself for the Cup and added that consuming alcohol a week before their first game cannot be good to players.

Last week, a Swiss newspaper published photos of Brazilian players in a night club in Lucerne, near the hotel where the team was based. In the following day, Brazil head coach Carlos Alberto Perreira said he would not punish the players. Parreira did not give any indication on Wednesday that he would do so now.

One of the players who were in the Frankfurt club, defender/wing Cafu, had something in particular to celebrate. It was the eve of his 36th birthday.

"It's great to be able to be playing at a World Cup at this age," he said.

Cafu has received several gifts from his fans, but said the one he really wants is the World Cup.
